Michael J. Becker is a recognized expert in the personal information economy and a mobile marketing pioneer, having received multiple industry awards. He has more than 20 years’ of industry expertise as a strategic advisor, operator, educator, author and board member.
Currently, Becker is a strategic advisor and product lead for Assurant’s Digital Identity platform. He also is an adjunct professor of mobile marketing at National University and founder and managing partner of Identity Praxis, Inc., a leading provider product, market, business, and research development services.
Prior to forming Identity Praxis, Becker was the co-founder of mCordis and The Connected Marketing Institute, the managing director, North America, for the Mobile Marketing Association and co-founder of Archer, a leading mobile messaging solutions provider. He also has served as director of marketing at Ecrio Inc., and international business development manager at Hewlett-Packard, and A&D Engineering.
Becker is the author of numerous books and articles, including “Mobile Marketing for Dummies.” He is on the boards of Marketing EDGE and the Mobile Marketing Association in North America, and on the advisory boards for Assurant, Predii, Myplanit, Privo, Funmobility, and Privowny.
Becker holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College of California and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He currently is pursuing a doctorate in business administration at Golden Gate University.
